![]() The City is considering protecting storefronts in our downtown. Under these proposed changes, only businesses such as restaurants, retail establishments and other uses that compliment arts, education and entertainment opportunities could occupy traditional storefront spaces. These uses generate more foot traffic downtown, which promotes more economic development opportunities. Creating a Storefront Protection Zone is one of the land management code amendments being considered by the Planning Commission. Lend your input to the process by telling us what uses you would like to see in storefronts downtown. You can check out the link below for more detailed information on the process. Have more to say? Join us for a Public Review meeting with the Planning Commission on Wednesday, January 28th @ 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers. |
